Ingredients
Applam -6 pieces
Tamarind juice-1 1/2 cup
Sambar powder-1 tbsp
Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
Asafetida powder-1/4tsp
Salt as needed
Oil-2tbsp
Mustard-1/4 tsp
Red chili-1
Tuvar dal-1/4 tsp
Fenugreek -1/4 tsp
Curry leaves
Gingery oil-1 tsp
Rice flour-1/4 tsp
Method:
Fry the applam in oil and keep aside.
In a pan add oil then add red chili,mustard,tuvar dal,fenugreek,curry leaves. Then add the tamarind water.
Then add turmeric,salt and sambar powder and allow it to boil for 10 mins. Then add the rice flour paste to it and once the quantity thickens add the fried applam to it. And switch off the flame and drizzle a spoon of gingely oil.
The kuzhambu is ready.
