Best for sambar rice and curd rice too ..

Kids will also love this..

Very crunchy and a tasty treat for any age ☺️🤤

Simple and easy too.. not much of a strain to make this..

we can substitute this as cabbage Vada, vazhaipoo or even plain without adding onions..

Here we go..

Chana dal-1 cup

Rice flour-1tbsp

Onion-1 big

Green chili-1 big

Ginger-1/4 piece

Garlic-3 cloves

Fennel seeds-1tsp

Mint leaves-1/4 cup chopped

Coriander leaves-1/4 cup chopped

Curry leaves

Salt for taste

Oil for deep frying

Method

Soak Chana dal for three hours..

Then drain it well and grind into a coarse mixture..

Then in a small blender add the fennel seeds, green chilies ,garlic, ginger into a coarse paste..

Add this to the dal, then rice flour, salt ,onions, mint leaves and coriander leaves and curry leaves..

Mix well.. and make a round shape and flatten it..

And set oil in medium flame and deep fry it.. and enjoy the crispy vada.!

*you can replace gram flour instead of rice flour

*even sooji can be added for more crispiness

*you can skip garlic and add asafetida of 1/4tsp
