Ingredients
Brinjal-4 nos
Tamarind water-1 cup
Oil-2 tsp
Mustard-1 tsp
Red chilies-3
Urud dal-1 tsp
Thuvar dal-1 tsp
Fenugreek-1/2tsp
Asafetida-1/2 tsp
Turmeric-1/2 tsp
Salt as needed
Curry leaves
Rice flour-1 tsp
Method
In a pan add oil.. then the tempering items..
Then add the chopped brinjal to it..
Then turmeric and asafetida..
And the salt..
Sauté it for a minute and add tamarind water..
Allow it to boil for 7 mins..
Then make a paste out of rice flour and add to the gotsu..
•I prefer a lighter consistency for gotsu..
•sometimes too runny will be difficult so I added a teaspoon of rice flour to give a slightly thicker form..
•add a teaspoon of ghee to it at-last or gingely oil..
