Keerai poriyal :
1. Wash and finely chop spinach. Chop in one big onion and tomato and slit 2 green chilies. And slice in 2 pods of garlic.
2. In a pan add 2tsp of oil and to it add the green chilies .Then after sautéing it for 1/2 min add the chopped onions and tomatoes. To it add 1/2tsp of turmeric , salt ,3/4th tsp of asafetida powder and cook for a minute or two.
3.Then add the chopped spinach and 1tbsp of moong dal and cover with lid and cook for 5 to 7 mins.
4. Then add 2tbsp of grated coconut and cook for a minute . Then in a small pan add 2 tsp of ghee and 1 tsp of oil and to it add 3/4 th tsp of mustard, 1tsp of urud dal , 1 tsp of cumin and 2 pods of sliced garlic and temper on this to keerai.. and then serve hot with rice or Dosa ..!
