Coriander rasam

Ingredients

Coriander-1/4 bunch

Tomato-1 big

Garlic-3 cloves

Ginger-1/4piece

Tamarind juice-1 cup

Turmeric powder-1/4tsp

Asafetida-1/4tsp

Rock salt as needed

Pepper corns-1/4tsp

Cumin-1/2tsp

Red chili-3

Tuvar dal-1/2tsp

Lime-1/4 piece

To temper:

Ghee-1tsp

Mustard seeds-1/4tsp

Cumin-1/4tsp

Curry leaves

Method:

Grind tuvar dal,pepper corns,cumin,red chili,garlic in a mixer.

Then in the blender grind the coriander leaves and keep the purée aside.

Then in a vessel add tamarind juice,turmeric,salt,asafetida and tomato and allow it to boil for 2 mins.

Then add the grounded coriander purée and the powder to it and allow it to become frothy.

Now garnish with to temper items.!

Hot pipping flavorful rasam with good aroma is ready to eat with rice..!!! Accompanied with potato curry,brinjal,ladysfinger or any chips..!

Best for moody,cold climate..! 😀
