Ingredients
Moong dal/Masoor dal-1 cup
Tomatoes-2
Onion -1
Frozen peas-1/2 cup
Green chili-1 big
Ginger garlic paste -1 tsp
Red chili powder-1/2tsp(optional)
Coriander powder-1tsp
Turmeric-1/4 tsp
Salt as needed
Garam masala powder-1tsp
Cumin seeds-1/2tsp
Oil/butter/ghee-1tbsp
To temper
Ghee-1 tsp
Kale-1/4 cup chopped
Sesame seeds-1/2tsp
Method:
Pressure cook dal,mash and keep aside.
Then in a blender add the tomatoes and chili and blend it together and purée them.
In a pan add oil then add the coriander powder and cumin seeds.
Then add the chopped onions and sauté it for two mins.
Then add turmeric,ginger garlic paste and sauté it for another two mins and add the frozen peas to it.Addthe puréed tomato paste.
If in need of more spic add red chili powder or green chili paste.
Then add the mashed dal,garam masala powder,water and cook on low flame for 5 mins..
Then in a pan add ghee, then add chopped kale and sesame seeds and toss it well and garnish it on top of dal.!
