Apple,oats and almond halwa

This is a very healthy and a tasty dessert and it has no sooji,sugar.

Completely a healthy choice for sweet lovers and I adapted this recipe from one of the best instagram food blogger and I just added some pecans and walnuts on my own. Let’s jump on to the recipe.

Ingredients

Apple-2

Cinnamon powder-1/2tsp

Cardamom- 1/4tsp

Nutmeg-1/4 tsp

Pitted dates-7(more if in need of more sweetness)

Oats-5tbsp or 1 cup

Almonds-2tbsp

Walnuts-1tbsp

Pecans-1/2tbsp

Ghee-4tbsp

Saffron-a pinch

Method:

Soak dates in warm water for 10 minutes.

Then blend apple and the dates along with The spice powder and keep the purée aside.

In pan dry fry oats,almonds and walnuts. And grind them into a powder (meal powder)

Now in the same pan add 2tbsp of ghee and fry chopped pecans and almonds.

Then keep it aside and add the meal powder and sauté without burning them. And after five minutes add the Apple purée and mix well and add the balance 2tbsp of ghee little by little and not completely. Add the saffron’s.

You can be little generous in adding some more ghee..and when it reaches a consistency drizzle with ghee and the fried pecan and almonds and serve warm..

Such a wonderful and tasty treat and an easy recipe too.!
