Lauki kofta curry

Lauki/Bottle gourd is made mostly as North Indian dishes and you can make variety of recipes with this..

Today I have made this kofta using lauki..

Jumping into the recipe now.

Ingredients

FOR KOFTA:

Lauki/Bottlegourd-1 small

Gram flour-3tbsp

Rice flour-1 1/2 tbsp

Turmeric-1/3 tsp

Red chili powder-1tsp

Salt as needed

Oil- for frying

FOR MASALA:

Onion-1

Tomato-2

Ginger-1/4piece

Garlic-3 cloves

Cashews-5 to 6

FOR GRAVY:

Oil-2tsp

Cumin-1tsp

Turmeric-1/4tsp

Red chili powder-1tsp

Salt as needed

Coriander powder-1tsp

Cumin powder-1tsp

Garam masala powder-1tsp

Full cream-1tbsp

Grated four cheese-1tbsp

Ghee-1tsp

Kasuri methi-1tsp

Method

Grate the lauki and strain the water in it.. then to it add gram flour,rice flour,turmeric,chili powder and salt and then mix the batter and deep fry them by making into a dumpling.

Then grind the items under the masala column and purée it and then keep aside.

In a pan add oil,cumin and the puréed paste and then to it add turmeric,chili powder,coriander powder,cumin powder and cover it with lid and cook for 5 mins.

Then add garam masala powder and cook for 3 to 4 mins.

Then add kasuri Methi and full cream to it and cook for 2 mins.

Add the fried kofta to it..

Let it stay for 2 mins and then add the grated cheese..

A teaspoon of ghee to it.. and serve hot with roti,naan or rice.!
