Adai (Lentils dosa)

Adai & Aviyal.!

Aviyal pana Adai is a must..


Soak 1 cup rice

Along with that add 1 cup of all the dal’s below

Thuvar dal

Moong dal

Chana dal = altogether

Urud dal

Masoor dal

+ 3 tsp of fenugreek seeds.

Soak everything together along with 6 red chilies for three to four hours (I prefer this longer hours soaking)

Later grind them into a coarse batter by adding salt, 1tsp turmeric,2 tbsp coconut.

Add chopped coriander leaves, 2 tsp cumin seeds, 2 tsp flax seeds.

Can also add chopped onions and capsicum and carrot(grated) if needed.

Red chilies can be replaced with green chilies and add curry leaves too.!

Serve hot with Aviyal/sambar/chutney/jaggery/butter/idly chili powder.
