Celery & Dill leaves dal.!
Winter cold climate here invites for a hot soup or dal and this one is simple and tasty and made easily. As the bell peppers enhances the flavor adding along with celery gives a unique taste and smell to the dish.!

Ingredients:
Moong dal -1/4 cup
Masoor dal-1/4 cup
Red bell pepper-1/2
Celery stick-1
Onions-1
Dill leaves- 1 arch
Turmeric -1/2tsp
Garlic powder-1 tsp
Ginger-1/3 piece
Green chilies -2
Salt as needed
Coriander powder -1 tsp
Garam masala powder -1 tsp
Chaat masala -1/2tsp
Oil-2 tsp

Tempering:
Ghee-1 tbsp
Mustard -3/4 tsp
Cumin-1 tsp
Carom seeds-1/2 tsp
Fenugreek seeds-1/4 tsp
Asafetida -1/3 tsp

Methodology:
1. Pressure cook both the dal along with onions,turmeric and little salt. Cook with four whistles and once pressure is done mash it well and keep it aside.
2. Chop bell pepper,celery and in a pan add oil, then the chopped bell pepper and celery. To it add salt,green chilies and turmeric and sauté for 3 mins.
3. Add 1 tsp of coriander powder and garam masala powder and add the mashed dal. Then add 1/2 cup of water and mix well. Allow it to boil for 3 to 4 mins.
4. Add finely chopped dill leaves and then to it add chaat masala powder and let it cook for 2 more mins. Grate fresh ginger on the dal.. (I love the flavor of freshly grated ginger) Then temper with items below the tempering column.
Serve hot with Rice/Roti.!
