Ingredients:
Gram flour/chick pea flour/kadalai maavu-1cup
Water-1cup(for sugar syrup)
Sugar-1 1/2cup
Ghee-1cup
Method:
Keep a plate or pan greased to pour the Mysore pak.In a pan add water and sugar and make one string sugar syrup and keep the flame on medium when reaching the consistency. On the other side sift the flour to get rid of the lumps. Slowly add the flour to the syrup by stirring it on the other hand and carefully do it as it may create lumps and mix well.
Gently add ghee and quickly add 2 to 3 tsp
And mix well. And then start adding the next batch of ghee until you finish off quickly.
When the color changes and becomes frothy add it to the greased pan and tap it well. And before it hardens too much upside down the pan and cut them into pieces. And hot Mysore pak is ready. Sprinkle with some sugar.
•you can also add 1/4 cup of oil along with ghee. But that’s an option.
•I used bread pan. You can use any plate.
•I couldn’t wait so took it a bit early so it’s little not in shape.
•sprinkling sugar is an option and you may skip that step if you don’t want to.
