Ingredients
Moong dal-2 cups
Sugar-1 1/2 cup
Milk-1/2 cup
Cashews -10
Raisins-8
Ghee-1 cup
Saffron – pinch
Yellow color- pinch(optional)
Cardamom powder-1/3 tsp
Method
Soak moong dal for atleast two hours in warm water.
Then drain it and grind them into a coarse paste like this.
Then in a pan heat ghee and fry the cashews and raisins and keep it aside..
Then in the same pan add the grounded moong dal paste and sauté it well for 5 minutes..
Then you can add water and milk but I added this saffron to the half cup of milk and added to the dal. And allow it to boil for 5 mins.
And then add sugar to it and cover it with lid and cook for 5 more mins.
Drizzle with ghee and add cardamom powder and the fried cashew and raisins to it..
Serve hot.! 🙂🤤
• I added two cups of dal for a larger quantity.
You can reduce it to one cup and if that’s the case sugar should be 3/4th cup.
