Yellow onions-4 small
Urud dal-1/2 tsp
Tamarind paste -1 1/2tsp
Salt as needed
In a blender grind onion,tomato,garlic,tamarind,red chilies together.
In a pan add oil.. then add mustard seeds. When it starts to splutter add urud dal and curry leaves.
Add the purée to the pan and sauté it well till the raw smell leaves and oil oozes out. And the hot red chutney is ready to serve with idly,dosa,uttapam,even its good with upma and can be mixed with rice too.!
