Ingredients
Potatoes-5
Green chilies-1 chopped
Ginger-1/4 piece chopped
Lemon-1/2 (juice)
Coconut grated-2tbsp
Coconut oil-1tsp
Ghee-1tsp
Mustard-1/4tsp
Urud dal-1/2tsp
Asafetida-1/4tsp
Turmeric powder-1/4tsp
Salt as needed
Coriander leaves
Curry leaves
Method:
Pressure cook potatoes with two whistles and peel the skin and keep aside.
Then in a pan add coconut oil.
Then add mustard and urud dal . When it starts to splutter add chopped green chili and ginger and curry leaves and then add potatoes by mashing it with hand .
Then add asafetida,turmeric and salt and toss well.
Then after 5 mins add lemon juice,grated coconut and some chopped coriander leaves.
Keep it on low for a minute and remove from flame..
A tasty and delicious podimas is ready to serve with rice.!
