Wanting to make tea today.. but was also craving for some cookie or biscuit to dip with it.. and I always love ginger flavor or cardamom flavor..
And definitely definitely I was missing this road side tea biscuits that are always a heavenly choice for me..
and I cannot find that here š
So suddenly jumped out of my couch to achieve my carving š
So here we go..
For tea(chai)
Boil 1/4 cup of water and add any ground tea powder(I used 3 roses)
And to it add 1/4 cup of milk and brown sugar according to your taste..
Add a dash of cinnamon powder and pepper powder..
Allow it to boil and strain it.. and enjoy it with the below delicacy cookie..š¤¤
For cookies
Self raising flour or all purpose flour-1/2 cupBrown sugar-1/3 cupEgg -1Baking powder -a pinchButter-2 oz( 1 1/4 cube)Dry ground ginger-1tspCardamom powder-1tspGrated fresh ginger-1/2 tsp
Method
Preheat oven at 375F(180c)
Whisk butter and egg together..
To it add brown sugar,baking powder,dry ginger powder and cardamom powder..
Whisk well together and add the all purpose flour..
You can seive everything together before adding(dry powders)
To it add the grated ginger and mix well..
In a cookie tray add the parchment paper (butter sheet)
Place the cookies giving distance between one another..
Bake for 15 to 20 mins..
Remove and allow it to cool..
And enjoy your crispy cookies along with hot tea..
