Today’s breakfast was a bit different from my routine smoothie cycle..
The climate was more inviting with moody and rainy and was craving for some hot and flavorful breakfast and suddenly thought about the poha/aval which was sleeping inside for months..
As we all know aloo poha is a Gujarati dish and any one would love this easy quick and healthy breakfast menu.. can be consumed as an evening snack too.. our taste and choice so why to fix 😜
Quickly did the preparation..!
Ingredients
Beaten rice/poha/aval-1 cup
Onions-1
Potato-1
Green chili-2
Oil-2tbsp
Mustard-1/2 tsp
Urud dal-1tsp
Cumin- 1/2 tsp
Peanuts-1/4 cup
Curry leaves
Coriander leaves
Turmeric -1/4tsp
Lemon juice- 1/2
Method
Microwave potatoes and boil them. Strain and keep it aside.
Wash the poha twice and strain and keep it aside.
In a pan add oil,mustard,urud dal,cumin and the green chilies,curry leaves and peanuts..
Then sauté them for a min and add onions and to it add salt and turmeric.
Then sauté for 3 mins and add the boiled potato and also the poha and cook for 3 more mins..
Add lemon juice and finely chopped coriander leaves..
Serve hot with a cup of ginger tea.!(my fav 😉)
