Poori is made out of wheat flour and its fried in oil..
Carom (ajwain /omam) seeds are very good for health and it’s added here along with Kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves) to the flour tossed with ghee,water and salt..
INGREDIENTS:
Wheat flour -2 cups
Ghee/oil-1 tbsp
Salt for taste
Water -1/2 cup
Baking soda – 1/2 tsp (optional)
Kasuri methi -2 tbsp
Carom seeds-2 tsp
Oil – for frying
METHODOLOGY:
Mix everything together and make dough out of it and keep aside. Or roll it into dumplings and make roti shape and fry in oil immediately and serve hot with any gravy or potato masal (potato & peas curry)
