GARLIC DAL RASAM: ⬇️
Pressure cook 2 tbsp of thuvar dal & 1 tbsp of Masoor dal. Add turmeric and cook with 4 whistles and mash well and keep aside.
In a vessel add 2 cups of tamarind water and to it add salt as needed, 1 tsp turmeric powder ,1 tsp asafetida, 1 tomato diced, and allow them to boil.
Dry roast 1 tsp thuvar dal,1/2 tsp urud dal, 1 tsp pepper corns, 2 red chilies, 1 tsp cumin .. grind it to paste by adding 1 tbsp garlic into a smooth paste.
Add them to the rasam. Allow it to boil for 5 mins and add the dal and water and allow it to form foam..
Add coriander leaves and curry leaves and temper In ghee with mustard and cumins..
Best combo with Rice and potato curry or any veggies.! Or even with chips
