Pazham pori (Banana fritters)

Pazham pori/Ethakka appam

(pazham bhajji/Banana fritters)

An all time favorite snack in Kerala. It’s also called as “Ethakka appam”

It is easy to prepare and it’s sweet and tasty.

It is made with nendram pazham/ cooking banana..

So here is the recipe:

INGREDIENTS:

Ripe banana-2

All purpose flour-1/2cup

Corn flour/rice flour-2tbsp

Yellow food color /

orange

Food color -a pinch

Sugar -2 tbsp

Salt- a pinch

Baking soda – a pinch

Oil- for frying

METHODOLOGY:

Mix all the above ingredients into a batter consistency. It should not be too runny not too thick.

Slice the banana’s in a long shape and dip them in the batter and deep fry them.

Eat hot 😊 it’s a simple and tasty snack to go with hot coffee or tea.!
